Three Boston police officers were hospitalized

Three Boston police officers were hospitalized withnon-life-threatening injuries after their cruisers collided early Saturday morning.

The crash happened at about 2:20 a.m. near the intersection of Washington and Winter streets, according to Officer Rachel McGuire, a department spokeswoman.

One cruiser was responding to a call while the other was transporting a suspect when the collision happened, according to McGuire. The suspect was not injured in the crash, said McGuire.

Three officers were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to McGuire.

Boston police are investigating the cause of the incident, said McGuire.
